AUD/USD ends far from weekly highs
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The aussie posted the first weekly gain against US dollar after falling during the previous four weeks, despite moving significantly far from the highs.
AUD/USD peaked on Thursday at 0.8898 but then retreated sharply after the Australian employment report and also weakened by the strength of the US dollar.
The pair dropped almost 200 pips from the weekly highs and bottomed at 0.8686 on friday. During the American session managed to climb back above 0.8700 and finished hovering around 0.8705/25, 40 pips above the level it closed a seven days ago.
