DAX trades weak
FXStreet (Mumbai) - The German equity markets are trading weak today as the markets across the globe are reacting to an E-bola scare.
The Dax is trading 0.61% lower at 8995 levels at the time of writing. Among the index stocks, the chemical company BASF is trading lower by 2.37%, while the Chemical and Healthcare corporation, Bayer is trading weak by 1.19%. The airliner Lufthansa is also trading down by about 1%. Meanwhile, Dailmer and Fresenius share prices have gained 0.78% and 1.76% respectively. The index breadth is negative with an advance decline ratio of 8:22.
Moreover, the markets have not reacted to the improvement in the German consumer confidence data for November. The GFK consumer confidence released earlier today, rose to 8.5, compared to the market expectation of 8.00.
Dax Technical levels
The Dax has an immediate resistance of 9070, above which the index can rise to 9140 levels. On the other hand, prices may fall to 8903 levels if the immediate support of 8963 is breached.
