US: Nonfarm payrolls up 214K in October

US NFP grew by 214K in October, following the September increase revised up to 256K, according to data released today by the US Department of Labor. This result is below market consensus of 231K.

The Unemployment Rate dropped to 5.8% from 5.9%, against forecasts of remaining unchanged.
