Canadian GDP increased 2.8 percent in the third quarter
FXStreet (London) - Canadian GDP expanded by 2.8 percent annualized in the third quarter, according to data from Statistics Canada. The data outstripped consensus expectations of a 2.1 percent gain.
Household consumption increased 2.8 percent in the third quarter, declining from 4.4 percent growth in the second quarter.
Exports rose 4 percent in the thirst quarter, down from a 19 percent rise in the second quarter. Imports rose 4 percent for 9.8 percent lifting net exports by 0.9 percent in the third quarter.
