NZD/USD climbs further above 0.7700

FXStreet (Córdoba) - NZD/USD extended gains during the last hours and climbed above the level it had before the FOMC statement. Recently printed a fresh daily high at 0.7759. Currently trades around 0.7750, up 0.70% for the day so far.

During the Asian session NZD/USD bottomed at 0.7680, the lowest in a week but then bounced to the upside. Commodity currencies are rising on Thursday against the US dollar.

NZD/USD technical levels

Immediate resistance is seen at daily highs at 0.7760 and above here at 0.7795 - 0.7800 (post FOMC high) followed by 0.7835. To the downside, support might lie at 0.7715 (intraday level) 0.7700 and 0.7680 (Dec 18 low).
