NZD/USD testing the 0.7720 support again

FXStreet (Guatemala) - NZD/USD is trading at 0.7720, down -0.10% on the day, having posted a daily high at 0.7758 and low at 0.7718.

NZD/USD has been testing the 0.7720 support and failed to the downside on a 5th attempt over these last few sessions. The pair lost all of the gains made overnight up to the highs on the back of the US GDP data.

The data came in far better than expected and overshadowed the durable goods orders that were weak. Markets are following the lead and price and that comes in the US dollar currently while the Dollar index breaks fresh highs into the 90’s.

US 2-year Treasury yield rises to 3-1/2 year highs

The surprisingly strong US third quarter GDP report has pushed the yields at the short-end of the treasury market curve at 3-1/2 year highs.
