AUD/JPY drops below 97.00

FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/JPY broke below 97.00 and weakened further, increasing losses during the American session. The pair printed a fresh low at 96.35 and is back to the level it closed on Wednesday.

After rising during three days in a row the pair is falling on Monday, after being unable to consolidate above 97.15 where the daily 20-SMA stands.

While USD/JPY remains flat, AUD/USD reversed sharply from 1-month highs and tumble from 0.8255 to 0.8130, pushiend AUD/JPY sharply to the downside.

AUD/JPY technical levels

To the downside, immediate support lies at 96.30, 95.60 (last week low) and 95.15/20 (Dec 16, 17 lows). On the opposite direction, resistance could be located at 96.75, 97.20 and 97.65 (Jan 9 high).

AUD/USD: A minor rebound ahead of 0.8120 support

AUD/USD is currently trading at 0.8157 with a high of 0.8257 a and making a low of 0.8131 while down 0.57% on the day.
