New Zealand's consumer confidence upbeat in January

FXStreet (Bali) - New Zealand's ANZ Roy Morgan consumer confidence index for January came at +1.9% vs +3.9%, from 126.5 in December to 128.9 in January, with sentiment improving to its highest level since July 2014.

"Households have enjoyed a stunning summer and this has left a tan line on consumer sentiment."

"Adjusting for the summertime effect, the seasonally adjusted level of consumer confidence recorded a modest slip, slop, slap down."

"Levels of confidence remain elevated and households are still optimistic over the future, suggesting that the domestic expansion has more legs."

Australia: Inflationary expectations fell in January - Melbourne Institute

The Melbourne Institute Survey of Consumer Inflationary Expectations fell by 0.2 percentage points to 3.2 per cent in January 2015 from 3.4 per cent in December 2014.
