US equities pause Friday

FXstreet.com (New York) - The US stock market ended a mid-week rally Friday, instead pausing and incurring minor losses across the board.

Beginning with the indices and composites, the NASDAQ fell -0.30% as it settles in region of 3392.76, down -10.14 points in these moments. In addition, the S&P 500 is trading in negative territory, operating at 1605.35, descending -7.78 points or -0.48% at the time of writing. Finally, the Dow Jones has moved lower at the opening, trading in the zone of 14945.63, presently -0.52% after a movement of -78.56 points.

Sectors are mostly lower at the opening, however the Industrials and Financials have distinguished themselves as the losers thus far, falling -0.46% and -0.43% respectively. Moreover, the price of gold has settled at $1192.24 per oz., while silver is now negotiating a spot price of $18.75 per oz. Friday.

AUD/USD falls below 0.9200

The AUD/USD extended its decline at the beginning of the New York session, dipping below the 0.9200 level for first time in 4 days.
