UK: PMI Construction slightly up to 51 in June
FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - UK PMI Construction increased to 51 points in June, from 50.8 points in May, according to data released today by Markit. The result is slightly below market consensus of 51.1 points.
According to Tim Moore, Senior Economist at Markit: “Theimprovement in overall construction output simultaneouslyraises chances of strong second quarter UK GDP growth,and reduces the likelihood imminent additional policy stimulus from the Bank of England.”
