EUR/DKK flat post-rate cut
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The Danish krone is almost unchanged vs. its European peer on Thursday, with EUR/DKK hovering over 7.4430.
EUR/DKK weaker on negative rate
The cross kept the composure after the Nationalbanken (Danish central bank) cut its refi rate for the third time in the last two weeks in order to defend its peg vs. the euro. The central bank lowered its rate to -0.50% from -0.35% in an effort to discourage inflows into the krone, accelerated after the ECB announced its stimulus programme last Thursday and the SNB abandoned its minimum exchange rate vs. the euro.
EUR/DKK is now losing 0.03% at 7.4430.
