US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 343K

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 2K last week to a seasonally adjusted 343K in the week ended June 29, bettering expectations at 345K and coming from 348K (revised) in the previous print.

Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 54K to a seasonally adjusted 2.933 million in the week ended June 22 vs. 2.987 million in the previous week (revised).
