Will request for loan extension today – Greece
FXStreet (Mumbai) - Greece’s government confirmed today that it would ask for loan extension with the Eurozone, which it distinguishes from its full bailout program.
Government spokesman Gabriel Sakellaridis told Greece's Antenna TV, “Let's wait today for the request for an extension of the loan contract to be submitted by the Finance Minister (Yanis) Varoufakis. All along deliberations are going on to find common ground, we want to believe that we are on a good path. We are coming to the table to find a solution."
He added that the government would stand its ground with respect to "red lines" or non-negotiable issues.
