Bank of England GFK 12 month inflation expectations decline in Febraury

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The Bank of England GFK 12 month inflation expectations fell to 1.9% in February from the prior reading of 2.5%.

The 2-year inflation expectation fell 2.1% from the previous figure of 2.5%, while the 5-year expectations dropped to 2.8% from 3.0%. Along with inflation expectations, interest rate hike expectations dropped as well to their lowest since Nov 2013. 36% of the public expect first rate rise within 12 months, which is lower than 37% in Nov.
