USD/MXN dips near 14.80 on Payrolls
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The US dollar is rapidly losing ground vs. its southern neighbor on Friday, with USD/MXN printing fresh lows in sub-15.00 levels.
USD/MXN weaker on US data
The disappointing figures from March US Payrolls dragged spot to the area of 14.80 on Good Friday, levels last seen in early February. The US economy created 126K jobs during last month, markedly lower than the 244K forecasted and down from February’s 264K (revised from 295K). The unemployment rate came in at 5.5%, unchanged from last month.
USD/MXN relevant levels
The pair is now retreating 1.22% at 14.8230 with the next support at 14.7303 (low Feb.6) and then 14.6339 (low Feb.4). On the upside, a break above 15.0348 (high Apr.3) would aim for 15.1603 (high Apr.2).
