Crude oil net bullish positions rose last week
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators added to their overall bullish bets in WTI Crude oil futures last week.
During the reporting time period - March 24th to Tuesday March 31st - the total non-commercial contracts of crude oil futures stood at +226,695. Long positions in oil futures rose by 2,442 contracts while the short positions fell by 17,366 contracts to register a net weekly rise of +19,808 contracts from the previous week’s total of +206,887.
Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, WTI Crude oil price rose slightly higher from USD 47.51 to USD 47.60/barrel. Meanwhile, Brent Crude prices stayed largely unchanged at USD 55.11/barrel during the same time period.
