Net bearish positions on 10-year Treasury note futures fell in the last week
FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators reduced overall bearish positions last week following a sharp rise in the bearish bets the previous week.
During the reporting time period - March 24th to Tuesday March 31st - the total non-commercial futures contracts of the 10-year treasury notes stood at - 113,810. Long positions in 10-year futures rose by 13,118 contracts while the short positions fell by 52,879 contracts to register the overall net change of +65,997 contracts from the previous week’s net total of -179,807 contracts.
Meanwhile, during the reporting time period, the yield on the 10-year Treasury note edged higher from 1.88% to 1.94%.
