German industrial production slows down in March

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The data released by the Federal Statistical Office Destatis on Friday showed German industrial production growth slowed down to 0.1% year-on-year in March, from 0.2% seen in March 2014.

Month-on-month, production in the industry was down by 0.5% from the previous month on a price, seasonally and working day adjusted basis. In March 2015, production in industry excluding energy and construction fell by –0.8%. The production of capital goods decreased by 1.4% and the production of intermediate goods by 0.8%, while consumer goods recorded 0.7% increase in production.
