LME Inventory Update

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The warehouse stocks data released daily by the London Metal Exchange (LME) showed a drop in the inventory levels of all the base metals viz. Copper, Zinc, Lead, Nickel and Aluminium.

Copper stocks decreased by 650 tonnes. While Lead and Zinc stocks deducted 1375 tonnes and 2500 tonnes respectively. Aluminium inventories subtracted massive 7725 tonnes for the third straight session and nickel stocks were reduced by 1260 tonnes.

Gold extends gains near $1185

Gold prices on Comex wiped out losses and edged higher during the European session as traders unwind their gold shorts after the recent weakness following a rebound in the greenback yesterday.
