USD/MXN unchanged, around 15.350
FXStreet (Córdoba) - USD/MXM is hovering around 15.350, around the same level it closed yesterday. Earlier the Mexican peso dropped to the lowest level since last Thursday against the US dollar after the release of economic data from Mexico.
According to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI by its name in spanish) industrial production rose 1.7% from a year ago in March below the 1.9% expected. USD/MXN climbed to 15.425 but then, a weak dollar pushed the price to 15.270. From there rose back toward the 15.350 area, where currently trades.
USD/MXN levels to watch
To the upside immediate resistance lies at 15.370 (intraday level), followed by 15.425 (May 7 high) and 15.490. To the downside, support could be located at 15.270 (daily low), 15.195 and 15.095.
