USD/MXN rises back above 15.10
FXStreet (Córdoba) - The Mexican peso lost ground at the beginning of the week against the US dollar and trimmed last week gains. On Friday, USD/MXN ended below 15.000, posting the lowest close in a month but on Monday rebounded.
A strong dollar pushed the pair to the upside. After Wall Street opening bell climbed to 15.143 and then pulled back, holding above 15.100.
USD/MXN with resistance around 15.15
The US dollar rose from below 15.000, but the rally was capped on Monday, around Friday’s highs, slightly below the 15.150 area, that is the short term resistance level to watch. Above, the next resistance is seen at 15.200 and 15.228.
On the opposite direction the Mexican peso could gain momentum if price drops back below 15.065 (May 14 low); the next support levels could be located at 15.028 and 14.980 (May 15 low).
