ECB extends ELA for Greece for the 5th time in a week

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The European Central Bank (ECB) on Wednesday approved the amount of emergency funding (ELA) Greece requested for its lenders for the fifth time in a week, Reuters reported. However, the exact amount of new emergency liquidity provided wasn't disclosed.

Based on Tuesday ELA raise, bankers estimated that the ELA extension amounted to about €1 billion, taking the limit close to €88 billion.

Creditors didn’t accept the Greek proposals – Greek PM Tsipras

Greece headlines are crossing the wires as markets head in to the Euro group meeting commencing later today with Greek PM Tsipras stating that creditors rejected the New Greek proposal.
