AUD/USD extends losses on USD strength

FXStreet (Córdoba) - AUD/USD remains under pressure on Wednesday, having scored fresh lows at the beginning of the New York session, amid broad-based greenback strength.

AUD/USD failed to overcome the 0.7740 zone and turned south, having lost more than 70 pips during the last hours, weighed also by disappointing Chinese PMIs. The pair struck a low of 0.7664 as the dollar received another boost in the wake of better-than-expected ADP data, and it was last trading down 0.39% at 0.7672.

AUD/USD levels to watch

As for technical levels, AUD/USD could find immediate supports at 0.7659 (Jun 30 low), 0.7629 (Jun 26 low) and 0.7600 (psychological level). On the flip side, resistances line up at 07739 (Jun 26, Jul 1 high) and 0.7769 (100-day SMA) ahead of 0.7795/0.7800 (Jun 22 high/psychological level).
