FXStreet (Barcelona) - Imre Speizer of Westpac, maintains a bearish outlook on NZD/USD, forecasting the pair to dive lower towards 0.6550 in the next few weeks and 0.6200 by 2015-end.
Key Quotes
“We maintain our negative outlook for NZD/USD, targeting 0.6550 during the next few weeks and 0.6200 by year end.”
“The Fed’s looming tightening cycle, slowing NZ economy, falling dairy prices and easier RBNZ remain the main negative factors. More recently, China’s stockmarket plunge and Greek risks are becoming important. We are comfortable with our forecast the RBNZ will cut the OCR to 2.75% on 23 July.”
