There will be no Grexit – EU’s Juncker

FXStreet (Mumbai) - The EU commission head Juncker at the EU press conference said there will be no Grexit and "so we are satisfied with the outcome".

EU’s head Tusk was also on the wires stating that the leaders have agreed in principle to start on Greek bailout programme. He added that the negotiations will be subject to strict conditions and the finance ministers will urgently discuss bridge financing for Greece.

Meanwhile, EU’s Dijsselbloem said that a separate fund will be set up, which shall monetize Greek banks. He further added that Greek banks will be recapitalized by Greek asset funds.

USD/JPY shoots beyond 123 on Greek deal led risk-on

The USD/JPY pair reversed losses and pierced through the 123 barrier in the early European trades, as the USD bulls jumped back into the bids following the news that finally a Greek deal was reached, fuelling risk-on trades and reducing demand for safe-haven in yen.
