Europe outlook, EUR deriving little support - BTMU

FXstreet.com (London) - Lee Hardman, FX Strategist at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd noted the euro is under modest downward pressure in the near-term against both the US dollar and pound.

"The easing of intense selling pressure in emerging markets has coincided with a weaker euro perhaps reflecting that investor repatriation flows back into the euro-zone have eased".

The US dollar advanced on Tuesday on the back of better than expected manufacturing data. However the gains were limited to the weak rivals. Overall, the market traded on risk aversion and wait-and-see mode amid key data to be release late in the week and ongoing worries over Syria as US congress seems to be ready to approve Obama's attack.
