EUR/USD wobbles around 1.0830
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The shared currency is alternating gains with losses at the beginning of the week, taking EUR/USD to the 1.0830 area so far.
EUR/USD in a narrow range
Spot is navigating a tight range pre-European open, against a backdrop of scarce data in both the euro area and the US economy, which will leave the price action to the mercy of the risk appetite trends.
With Greek headlines temporarily in the back burner, the focus of attention returns to the broader scenario of divergent monetary policies by the Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank.
EUR/USD levels to watch
At the moment the pair is down 0.01% at 1.0829 and a break below 1.0819 (low May 27) would target 1.0789 (low Apr.25) en route to 1.0666 (low Apr.24). On the upside, the initial hurdle aligns at 1.1036 (high Jul.15) followed by 1.1086 (high Jul.14) and then 1.1197 (high Jul.13).
