UK: Goods Trade deficit widens to £9.853B in July

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - UK Goods Trade deficit widened to £9.853 billion in July from £8.171 billion in June, according to data released today by National Statistics. Analysts expected the deficit to narrow to £8.150 billion.

Total Trade deficit widened to £3.085 billion in July from £1.256 billion in June, below projections of reaching £1.700 billion. Non-EU trade deficit widened to £4.528 billion from £-2.806 billion and below forecasts of £-2.950 billion.

EUR/USD bearishness far from over

The EUR/USD foreign exchange rate managed to stop the recent bleeding Friday, stabilizing thus far in positive territory ahead of the afternoon US Nonfarm payroll report.

UK: Annual Industrial Production slides 1.6% in July

Year-over-year UK Industrial Production fell by 1.6% in July, compared with a 1.4% increase in June, National Statistics informed today. This is almost in line with forecasts of a 1.7% decrease. UK Industrial Production remained unchanged between June 2013 and July 2013, following a 1.3% rise registered between May 2013 and June 2013 and against expectations of a 0.1% increase.
