USD/CAD shoots higher to 1.3260

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - The greenback is now picking up pace vs. its Canadian neighbour on Monday, lifting USD/CAD to the area near 1.3260.

USD/CAD higher, dollar recovers

The greenback seems to have now reverted the initial weakness and is managing to push spot to session peaks in the 1.3260 region after bottoming out in the 1.3225/20 band.

Absent releases in the US and Canada, the pair’s exclusive driver remains the risk appetite trends, with the sentiment now leaning towards a more favourable tone around USD.

USD/CAD levels to consider

At the moment the pair is losing 0.06% at 1.3253 with the next support at 1.3226 (low Sep.14) ahead of 1.3154 (low Sep.9) and then 1.3116 (low Aug.31). On the upside, a break above 1.3290 (high Sep.10) would open the door to 1.3310 (high Sep.8) and finally 1.3327 (high Aug.31).
