Fed’s lift-off likely in 2015 – Fed’s Rosengren

FXStreet (Edinburgh) - According to the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Eric Rosengren, a Fed’s lift-off this year seems reasonable. His comments came after he supported the ‘no-hike’ decision at the September meeting.

He does not expect strong gains in consumer prices, signaling at the same time that the labour market remains vital to reach the 2% target.

Rob Carnell, Chief International Economist at ING, suggests that the recently Fed speakers had suggested that the September meeting was close call to 50:50 which raises the question – could a strong payrolls push this over the edge.
