USD/CAD door open for a test of 1.35 – Westpac
FXStreet (Edinburgh) - Strategist at Westpac Richard Franulovich believes the pair could climb to re-test recent peaks in the 1.35 area.
Key Quotes
“USD/CAD seems destined to retest the recent highs just shy of 1.35 amid heightened Dec Fed rate hike risk and the renewed slump in oil prices”.
“Lower 2016 and 2017 BoC growth forecasts hardly inspire much confidence either and if anything could eventually pave the way to an easing, perhaps sometime in Q1”.
