“The UK has retail sales (consensus: -0.6% headline, -0.5% core, equivalent to 3.9% and 4.5% y-o-y, respectively, which is even better than it looks given the absence of inflation.)”

“In Europe we hear from the ECB’s Coeure, Weidmann, and Praet, and see the ECB minutes, all of which should stress that Europe is also looking to ease further (and hence EUR’s upside should be limited). Indeed, this is starting to look a lot like the ECB vs. the BOJ. (Cue soundtrack again.)”

GBP outperformance among European G10 FX to continue - Nomura

Research Team at Nomura, suggests that an earlier Fed lift-off and a more dovish ECB stance will benefit GBP the most.
