EMU: Consumer Confidence at -14.5 in October, as projected

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Eurozone Consumer Confidence edged up to -14.5 in October, from -14.9 in September, the European Commission reported on Wednesday. This result is in line with market consensus.

Eurozone Business Climate climbed to -0.01 in October, from -0.19 in September, above expectations of -0.15.

The Economic Sentiment Indicator grew to 97.8 from 96.9 and above forecasts of rising to 97.3.

Industrial Confidence increased to -4.8 from -6.6, above expectations of -6.5. Services Sentiment dropped to -3.7 from -3.2 and against market consensus of rising to -2.8.

GBP/USD recovers ground

The GBP/USD has managed to cut some of yesterday's losses during the European session as investors gear up for the Fed policy announcement.
