US: Initial Jobless Claims fell to 336K

FXstreet.com (Edinburgh) - According to the Labour Department, the Americans that filed in their first initial claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 9K last week to a seasonally adjusted 336K in the week ended November 2, a tad above expectations at 335K and coming from 345K (revised from 340K) in the previous print. Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, rose by 4K to a seasonally adjusted 2.868 million in the week ended October 25 vs. 2.864 million in the previous week (revised).
