UK: Annual PPI – Output rises 0.8% in October

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - In the year to October 2013 UK PPI – Output grew 0.8%, following an increase of 1.2% last month, National Statistics reported today. Analysts expected more growth of 1%. On a monthly basis UK PPI – Output edged up 0.3% in October, compared with the 0.1% decrease in September and against forecasts of remaining flat.

Annual UK PPI – Input fell 0.3% in October, following a 0.9% rise in September and below market consensus of 0.1% growth. On a monthly basis UK PPI – Input dropped 0.6% in October, up from the 1% decline and slightly above projections of a 0.7% drop.

Year-over-year PPI Core Output increased 0.9%, following +0.8% and above expectations of a 0.7% rise. Monthly PPI Core Output edged up 0.1%, after remaining unchanged, as expected.

USD/CHF near its daily highs

The USD/CHF is trending higher as EUR/USD is under pressure, hovering around 0.9218 close to its daily highs.

UK: Retail Price Index flat in October

UK Retail Price Index remained unchanged in October, following a 0.4% increase the previous month, National Statistics reported on Tuesday. Analysts expected the indicator grow by 0.4%.
