Former deputy PM Clegg denies the Queen backed Brexit

Earlier today, UK’s daily, the Sun reported a story claiming the Queen is backing Brexit:

However, the rumours were quickly rubbished by the UK’s former deputy PM Nick Clegg, "This is nonsense. I've no recollection of this happening, and it's not the sort of thing I would forget."

Buckingham Palace also denied the story, saying: "The Queen remains politically neutral, as she has for 63 years. We would never comment on spurious, anonymously sourced claims.

“The referendum will be a matter for the British people.”
