EUR/CHF climbs to 1.1060, session highs

The upbeat tone around the single currency remains unchanged today, now pushing EUR/CHF to test daily highs in the 1.1060.70 band.

EUR/CHF focus on Payrolls

The cross seems to have finally broken above the psychological 1.10 handle on a more sustainable basis, advancing to fresh 3-month highs near 1.1070 following a better tone in the common currency.

In the meantime, the cross is extending its advance for the third consecutive session ahead of today’s Non-farm Payrolls in the US economy (202K exp.), whereas the next important event in the Alpine economy will be April’s inflation figures due on Monday.

EUR/CHF significant levels

As of writing the cross is up 0.22% at 1.1062 and a surpass of 1.1172 (high Jan.29) would expose 1.1211 (2016 high Feb.4). On the other hand, the immediate support is located at 1.0966 (20-day sma) followed by 1.0948 (low Apr.29) and finally 1.0899 (200-day sma).
