US stocks end mostly flat

Dow Jones and S&P 500 ended the day little changed, having recovered from negative ground helped by the rebound in oil prices.

The DJIA gained 9 points, or 0.1%, to 17,720. The S&P 500 finished 0.02 down at 2,064.12. The Nasdaq Composite lost 23 points, or 0.49% to 4,737, weighed by a selloff in Apple shares which slumped 3.3% to $89.47, its lowest since June 2014.
