US: Initial Jobless Claims falls to 298,000

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - Initial jobless claims for regular state unemployment-insurance benefits fell by 23,000 last week to a seasonally adjusted 298,000 in the week ended November 30.

This reading came in below expectations at 325,000 and also below the 321,000(revised from 316,000) registered the previous week.

Continuing claims, which reflect people already receiving benefits, fell by 21,000 to a seasonally adjusted 2.744 million in the week ended November 23 vs. 2.765 million in the previous week (revised).
