US import prices rise 0.2% in June

US import prices increased 0.2% in June from a month earlier, the Labor Department said Wednesday. The rise came short of the 0.5% increase expected while over the past year, prices are still down 4.8%.      

Meanwhile, export prices climbed 0.8% in June, beating 0.3% rise expected. However, over the past year, export prices declined 3.5%.
