US retail sales grow 0.6% in June

US retail sales rose 0.6% in June to a seasonally adjusted $456.98 billion, beating expectations of a 0.6% increase. May’s retail sales were downwardly revised to 0.2%, from 0.5% growth previously estimated.  

Excluding autos, retail sales rose 0.7% from May, also above the 0.4% increase expected.
