UK July trade balance slightly upbeat, almost matches estimates
The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published the trade balance report from the UK economy on Friday, showing that the visible trade deficits narrowed in July, coming in almost bang on expectations.
Key Details:
UK visible trade deficit July stood at GBP -11.764bln vs -11.65bln exp and against a revised previous reading of GBP - 12.92bln
Trade balance non-EU came in at GBP -4.188bln vs -3.6bln exp and -4.7bln previous
Trade balance: Actual - GBP - 4.5bln vs -4.2bln exp vs -5.56bln prev revised down from -5.1bln
