UK manufacturing production a tad better, beats expectations

The UK manufacturing production fell less than expectations in Sept, coming in at +0.2% y/y against -0.1% expected and +0.50% previous. While total industrial production data for Sept stood at +0.3% y/y against +0.8% expected and 0.7% last.

On monthly basis, the manufacturing output bettered expectations, with +0.6% booked in Sept versus +0.4% exp and +0.2% previous. While the industrial production figures remained unchaned in the contraction territory, at -0.4% versus a 0.0% reading expected.
