USD/CHF slumps of non-farm payroll miss
FXstreet.com (London) - USD/CHF has dived after US non-farm payrolls saw a big miss on expectations, printing at just 74k against consensus expectations around 197k. The print is a sharp drop on November numbers, which added 241k jobs.
After buoyant optimism running up to the release of the non-farms numbers thanks to solid ADP data earlier this week as well as generally upbeat US macro outlooks, the shortfall in expectations will trigger some sharp drops in USD.
USD/CHF slumps from overbought territory
With USD/CHF already running into overbought territory before the NFP release, it was prime for a big drop if numbers disappointed. The pair has plummeted 0.44 percent on the US jobs numbers, currently trading at CHF0.9030, down from session highs at CHF0.9093
