China's top diplomat to visit US on Monday and Tuesday - Xinhua

China’s state news agency Xinhua, reported via Reuters, China's top diplomat, State Councilor Yang Jiechi will visit the United States on Monday and Tuesday. Yang outranks China's foreign minister.

The visit follows a phone call between Yang and the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson last week, during which the two affirmed the importance of a constructive U.S.-China relationship.
