White House Eco Adviser Cohn – Fed is an independent agency

As per Reuters report, White House economic adviser Gary Cohn said on Sunday that “the Fed is an independent agency and has been doing a good job”. Cohn added, “Trump administration respects Fed’s independence, even if the central bank raises rates this week.

Fed Chair Yellen was heavily criticized for holding rates low by Trump during the Presidential campaign.
