G20 should not backtrack on resistance to protectionism - Buba President Weidmann

During his opening remarks at the 9th Annual IIF G20 Conference in Frankfurt, Dr Jens Weidmann, President of the Deutsche Bundesbank, was noted saying that G20 should not backtrack on resistance to protectionism and should recommit to maintaining open markets, cross-border trade. 

He also warned that deregulation in hope of stimulating growth could backfire, exacerbate any crisis.
