US stocks finish mixed as IBM dragged Dow
FXstreet.com (San Francisco) - Wall Street closed Wednesday with a mix in between red and green numbers as the Nasdaq and the S&P posted gains while the Dow Jones was hurt by the IBM decline amid revenues report.
IMB posted better than expected earnings in the Q4 but it missed revenues. Results were mainly driven by cost cutting.
The Dow Jones declined 41.10 points or 0.25% to finish at 16,373.34; the S&P 500 added 1.06 pts or 0.06% to end the day at 1,844.86; and the Nasdaq Composite advanced 17.24 pts or 0.41% to close at 4,243.00, a new 13-year high.
