Chancellor Merkel's conservative party wins the state of Schleswig-Holstein

While the market has been focussed on the French elections, from the weekend, we also had an election in the German state of Schleswig-Holstein.

Indeed, the German Chancellor Merkel's conservative party won another strong hold with an initial result of 33%. The Social Democrats only won 26.5% who have been in power.
