NZD/USD hits fresh lows, approached 0.8200

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD is retreating further and recently reached a fresh daily low at 0.8210, just a few pips above Thursday’s low. With recent decline, the pair has erased yesterday’s gains.

During the American session climbed to 0.8282, reaching the strongest level since January 29, but failed to hold, lost momentum and finished the day on a weak tone. The retreated from the highs accelerated in the last two hours, as the US dollar strengthened versus commodity currencies.

Despite the pullback, the NZD/USD is still headed toward a weekly gain, that could be the first one after falling in the previous three. At the moment of writing is trading at 0.8226, down 0.31% for the day, but up 1.5% for the week so far. The weekly result could change considering that in a few hours, in the US, the Non Farm Payrolls report will be released.
